Challenges
The client, a global leader in asset management and disposition, sought to modernize and streamline its warehouse intake process. Existing workflows were heavily reliant on manual entry and siloed systems, which often resulted in delays, human error, and a lack of real-time visibility into warehouse operations. To improve efficiency and accuracy, the client required a solution that could seamlessly integrate with its current infrastructure while offering a modern, mobile-first user experience for warehouse personnel.
Warehousing operations posed several unique challenges. Connectivity across facilities was inconsistent, necessitating a solution that could function offline without sacrificing data integrity. Additionally, the intake process demanded intuitive tools that supported both handheld barcode scanners and the built-in cameras on iPads and iPhones. The client also needed functionality that allowed warehouse workers to manage item references within physical and virtual containers easily—adding another layer of complexity that most off-the-shelf solutions failed to address.
Prior to engaging with Krasamo, the client explored several commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems. However, these systems lacked the flexibility to fully support the client’s specific workflows. The missing component was a customizable mobile interface that could extend WMS functionality while remaining intuitive and robust in the hands of field workers.

Solutions
Krasamo responded by designing and developing a custom iOS application tightly integrated with the client’s backend systems. The app allowed staff to complete intake operations using either handheld scanners or the device’s native camera. It featured powerful tools for grouping, transferring, and removing item references across containers, as well as built-in support for offline functionality—ensuring that operations continued uninterrupted in areas with poor connectivity.
Through this tailored solution, the client significantly improved throughput and reduced administrative overhead. The warehouse intake process became faster, more accurate, and easier to manage. With seamless server integration and a mobile-first approach, the client achieved a scalable, digital transformation of its warehouse operations—one that enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and long-term value.
