Server Integration for Warehouse Operations
Client: Global Leader in Asset Management and Disposition
02
Objectives
Digitally transform the warehouse intake process by integrating a COTS WMS with NetSuite via a backend server component.
03
Challenges
The client aimed to modernize their warehouse intake process by implementing a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Warehouse Management System (WMS). However, integrating this new system with their existing ERP, NetSuite, proved to be a significant challenge. The client required a seamless, bidirectional flow of data between the WMS and NetSuite to ensure consistent inventory tracking and real-time visibility.
The primary obstacle was creating a backend service capable of both ingesting and synchronizing records from NetSuite, while also enabling mobile interaction. It needed to continuously retrieve, store, and update records without interrupting daily warehouse operations. In addition, the server component had to efficiently respond to real-time requests from a mobile application, which was integral to warehouse floor activity.
Another major challenge involved syncing data updates from the mobile application back into NetSuite. This required ensuring data consistency, preventing duplication, and achieving system-wide accessibility. The integration had to be robust, scalable, and aligned with pre-defined business rules and time intervals for data retrieval and submission.

Solutions
To meet these challenges, Krasamo implemented the server component and a custom iOS mobile app. The server component was developed using SuiteTalk platform to facilitate communication between the WMS, NetSuite, and the custom iOS mobile app. The web component serves as the intermediary layer, retrieving records from NetSuite and storing them in an internal database optimized for mobile access.
Through the use of SuiteTalk web services and pre-defined incremental searches, the server component was able to maintain up-to-date information by periodically pulling only the latest changes from NetSuite and pushing the most recent changes to the mobile app.
Endpoints were developed to enable the mobile application to add, update, and remove records in real time, ensuring the warehouse staff could work efficiently with current data. The server also supported seamless synchronization of any updates initiated through the mobile app back to NetSuite, enabling organization-wide access to accurate warehouse data.
This well-orchestrated integration successfully bridged the gap between the WMS and NetSuite, providing the client with a robust digital warehouse intake solution. As a result, the company now benefits from streamlined operations, real-time data synchronization, and improved decision-making capabilities across their organization.
